Getting to Seabrook Island by Car
Located less than 25 miles from downtown Charleston, SC, Seabrook Island offers guests the opportunity to escape the fast pace of the city for the serene sights and sounds of the Lowcountry.
By Car (from 1-95/Purple Heart Memorial Fwy)
Coming from Atlanta, Georgia on 1-95 N:
- Take exit 86A to merge onto I-26 E toward Charleston for 43.8 mi
- Take exit 212B-C to merge onto I-526 W toward Savannah for 7.4 mi
- Turn right onto SC-7 (Sam Rittenberg Blvd) for 0.1 miles
- Turn right at US-17 Savannah Hwy for 4.6 mi
- Turn left at the stoplight onto Main Rd (gas stations are on three of the corners, a Burger King on the fourth corner).
- Travel on Main Road for 18 miles.
Main Road eventually becomes Bohicket Road. As you approach the round-about for Seabrook Island and Kiawah, stay in the right lane. Continue to the security gate at Seabrook Island. At Seabrook security gate, use the inner lane. Once a gate pass has been issued, please place it on your left dash board.

By Car (from Hwy 17 North)
Traveling from Savannah, Georgia:
- Travel North on Hwy #17 (Savannah Highway)
- Turn right at the stop light onto Main Rd (gas stations are on three of the corners, a Burger King is on the fourth corner). If you come to #526, you have missed the turn.
- Travel on Main Road for 18 miles.
Main Road eventually becomes Bohicket Road. As you approach the round-about for Seabrook Island and Kiawah, stay in the right lane. Continue to the security gate at Seabrook Island. At Seabrook security gate, use the inner lane. Once a gate pass has been issued, please place it on your left dash board.

- Head northwest on International Blvd toward Air Cargo Ln for 1.9 mi
- Turn right to merge onto I-526 W (Mark Clark Expressway) toward Savannah for 5.9 mi
- Turn right onto SC-7 (Sam Rittenberg Blvd) for 0.1 miles
- Turn right at US-17 Savannah Hwy for 4.6 mi
